Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) is a public photo competition around cultural heritage monuments, organized by Wikimedia chapters and groups. The aim of the contest is to ask the general public—readers and users of Wikipedia, photographers, hobbyists, etc.—to take pictures of cultural heritage monuments and upload them to Wikimedia Commons for use on Wikipedia.
The 2026 competition will take place from 1 to 31 October 2026.
You can upload photos of any monument or building constructed before 1910 , as long as you write in the description information that identifies it and its location. Do not upload anything newer, it will simply be deleted. If you upload your photographs using the relevant option in the lists, several details will be filled in automatically.

Wiki Loves Monuments was initialy organized in 2010 in the Netherlands, and was followed by a Europe-wide 2011 edition. Wiki Love Monuments 2012 went global and since 2016 it is also organized in Greece by the Wikimedia User Group Greece.
